MINTED | WHOLESALE LAUNCH

art direction, design

To serve the growing number of retailers interested in working with Minted I developed a look book for our sales team to use when pitching to prospective partners, and a corresponding landing page.

The catalog was passed out at trade shows and emailed to prospective partners. Additionally, a digital version was available for download on the wholesale landing page for easy access. The goal was to give retailers an understanding of the variety of products and overall potential a partnership with Minted could provide with a focus on showcasing the new apparel, kid’s furnishings and greeting card lines developed specifically for the new wholesale business. The landing page gave those retailers an easy way to submit the necessary information to begin a wholesale account to sell the showcased wholesale line, or find the information they needed to get in touch with the Minted team about additional partnership opportunities.

Minted had a successful launch at the National Stationery Show, signing up many small and medium businesses and developing relationships with a variety of large brands. Minted ultimately signed successful deals with companies such as Target, Nordstroms, Barnes & Nobels, TJ Maxx and more.

COVER ART DIRECTION

The goal of the cover art was to showcase the breadth of Minted’s wholesale offerings. Because Minted was well known as a stationery company, it was important to hero the new fabric goods that customers would be less familiar with. By sprinkling in a small selection of Minted’s stationery offerings, including the new greeting card format expected to be a major wholesale opportunity, we grounded the image in products potential partners were more likely to expect.

As the initial launch strategy was developed, the goal was to target children focused opportunities in this first push—this would allow Minted to lean into one of their core business’s and really showcase the breadth of their pattern collection. However, as the team refined their goals for the launch and the final product formats were selected, we adjusted the image to be more neutral to maximize the longevity of the asset.
